What to visit in Tignale

Sanctuary of Montecastello: the most important place to visit in Tignale is the Sanctuary of Montecastello. This is situated a little below the peak of Monte Cas on a spur of rock sheer above the lake. There are wonderful views from the Sanctuary because of its unique location you can see from the high peaks of Monte Baldo on the other side of the lake, to the Sirmione peninsula in the south, and all the spectacular scenery between. The Sanctuary is richly decoreted and has attractive frescoes attributed to the school of Giotto.
Museum of Parco Alto Garda Bresciano: the Park museum, through a trip involving sights and sounds, recalling people and environments, old tools and natural history collections, videos and interactive points, uses modern and innovative ways of informing visitors about the local area, its traditional activities from fishing to the cultivation of lemons, from agricolture in the mountain areas to the products of local craftsmen.

The Oil mill of Tignale: guided tour of the oil mill, every Thursday at 5.00 p.m (free). The extra virgin olive oil from Tignale's "Latteria Turnaria" Co-operative is an organic product of the highest quality.
Beach of Tignale: "Pra della Fam", received in 2008 from the Italian Touring Club "Sails" for the quality of water and because Tignale knows how to treat with tourists. Attractive area with a lovely beach (sunloungers an umbrellas available) and a snack bar.The perfect place to pass your days in peaceful relaxation. You can windsurf and sail. Parking place.
Lemon House "Pra della Fam": lemon trees between rows of high pillars surrounded by stone walls that are covered in winter to become enormous greenhouses, enabling the cultivation of citrus fruits, particularly lemons, even in this northerly altitude. Guided tour with tasting session every Tuesday at 5.00 p.m. from May until September.

Daily shuttle bus service form Tignale to the beach and return (from the end of June until first week of September)
